Lion's Gate Workshop Photos

Below are a few photos of the 'Prophetic Workshop' that took place last saturday in Collingwood under the leadership of Doug and Linda Patterson from Shekinah Restoration Ministry, Fergus, Ontario. This event is now being held on the 2nd saturday of each month at the home of Ross and Florence Hoggard from 9.30am to 3.30pm. All are welcome, just bring your Bible and a notebook, your own lunch (tea and coffee provided) and be prepared to be blessed.

Exciting bi-weekly Hymn sing

Every second Sunday afternoon, we lead a hymn sing at Bay Haven Senior Care Community in Collingwood. This has become a very popular event with the residents and often close to 50 seniors attend. We learned that they have their own choir and this is evident from the participation of the residents. Although this is not a formal type service, we still have a wonderful opportunity to talk about the various hymns, and the meaning of the words and how Jesus is the only way into heaven. Praise the Lord for opening these doors for us to minister to our seniors. JDL

Sunday at Georgian Traditions Retirement Residence - Collingwood

This beautiful facility resembles a five star hotel rather than a retirement home. We hold a Church Service in the chapel area once a month and have seen numbers increasing as new seniors move in. The facility has been open since last year.

EXCITING UPDATE ON LIONS GATE PROPHETC WORKSHOP by Florence Hoggard

Saturday, Dec 13th, 2008 was the first "Lions Gate Prophetic Workshop" to be held in our area, with Doug and Linda Patterson ministering. People gathered at the home of Ross & Florence Hoggard (223 Batteaux Rd, R #2, Collingwood) at 9:30 a.m. with Bible, notebook & pens in hand. Not one was disappointed.

God was present. As people worshipped and praised, the presence of God filled the room. We felt the angels wings. We sensed the power of God tremendously. There were joyous outbursts of praise. People yielded to the Lord as He bestowed gifts on various ones. Words of encouragement and prophetic utterances were part of the day. God opened spiritual eyes to see in Gods dimension. The power of God flowed and some lay prostrate before Him. We were changed!

Doug and Linda Patterson sensed that this should be a monthly event. Therefore, the 3rd Saturday of each month will be delegated as a "Lions Gate Prophetic Workshop" ... held at the home of Ross & Florence Hoggard. We invite each one to come expecting to meet with God in a new way.

Doug Patterson is the founder and senior pastor of Shekinah Restoration Centre,
an Apostolic/Prophetic Church with the vision of restoring, activating and releasing the saints into their destiny in Christ. Doug and his wife Linda, are co-founders of
Intercessors for Jesus Ministry. Doug is a prophetic seer and paints many of the visions given to him by God. The Canadian Awakening is a well known painting of a
vision given to Doug of revival fires burning within the nation of Canada.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Since the last entry we continued with the Sunday services, but during the summer months we
had a slightly reduced schedule for the evening hymn sings. Now that fall is here the new list of events has picked up and this week on Wednesday October 15th, we are singing at the Nottawa United Church musical evening. On Sunday October 26th we will be singing at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church in Stayner and then on Saturday November 1st, we will be singing at Emmanuel Presbyterian church for the Gideons.

JULY 27TH SERVICES

We were blessed to have Jim and Brenda Irvine fill in for Ross and Florence who were moving house this weekend. Jim and Brenda have been involved in the seniors ministry for some years and currently hold regular services at the retirement home in Wasaga Beach.

NOTTAWA UNITED CHURCH CONCERT

The weather was perfect for this annual event and various local musicians and groups entertained from noon until about 6pm. An usual the food was excellent and about 200 people
attended. Below are a couple of photos of us performing.
